Requirements

  • The design must be innovative and interesting

  • You must rethink and repurpose a piece of existing furniture to function in a new way

  • The design must foster a positive and enjoyable learning environment

  • It must promote active learning and provide opportunities for students to develop the 4Cs of 21st century learning

  • Take other students’ and teacher’s learning preference into account

Parameters

  • Only Use existing tools and materials available in your school/classroom

  • It must be adaptable and useful for students of varying heights, sizes and learning needs

  • It should be easy to assemble and not take too much time to set up

  • Complete a portfolio which includes your design sketch, your design notes to explain your choices, and your reflections on the activity
