HI THERE, I’M ALEX!

I’m a New Zealand born educator based in Boston. I am driven to help students develop 21st century learning skills and engage in real-world problem solving. I hope to engage more educators in collaborative learning, connect learners from a diverse range of backgrounds, foster social responsibility and celebrate student ideas and designs.

The tasks and challenges here at Verb Jam have been developed to encourage student collaboration and provide useful resources for teachers to help facilitate meaningful group-work in the classroom.

Let’s nurture a generation of entrepreneurial students who can solve problems collaboratively!

Hi there, I’m Sara!

Originally from Long Island, New York, I have been living, working, and studying in the Greater Boston Area for the last six years. My background is in Elementary and Special Education, and I am passionate about creating authentic opportunities for students to collaborate together, in order to create meaningful tasks for instruction.

In our ever-changing society, it is incredibly important that students develop a social awareness and responsibility to the world around them, and are able to think critically and problem solve, in order to tackle big challenges.

I look forward to helping you build a generation of social, passionate, and skillful students in your classroom through our Verb Jam challenges!
